To help reverse the devastating impact diabetes is having on our community, King & I Productions is taking action!

I’m writing to ask for your support of “Swirl & Chords”, a benefit for the American Diabetes Association of Washington DC. King & I Productions is producing and directing an unprecedented private signature fundraising event for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Washington, DC entitled, Swirl and Chords Fashion and Music Gala "Songs and Silhouettes" on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Arena Stage at The Kogad Cradle Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C.
I am passionate about this cause, as I have personally been affected by diabetes. What you might not know is that diabetes is an American health epidemic. An estimated 29.1 million people have diabetes in the United States and another 79 million people are on the way to getting the disease. Diabetes kills more Americans every year than breast cancer and AIDS combined. Diabetes doubles the risk of heart attack, blindness, neuropathy and stroke.

"“Swirl and Chords” will showcase the talents of extraordinary individuals through Fashion (SWIRL) and Music (CHORDS); bringing awareness to a cause that impacts my life and the life of many others on a personal and professional level every day. On Saturday, December 1st, (SWIRL) will begin with a breathe-taking designer showcase featuring six (6) top American fashion designers and followed by a lavish Red Carpet VIP reception to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association to bring awareness, education and prevention to manage diabetes.
